COMMUNITY
The school is widely used by the community outside school hours for meetings, classes, hobbies, leisure and sporting activities. Its facilities can also be booked privately for special events. In order to encourage and support the community in making full use of the school facilities, our Lettings Officer, Mrs Clarke - has responsibility for organising a wide range of activities for all ages.
Some of the events held at Field End Junior School include; Metafit, Slimming World, Jazzercise, Clubbercise, and The Hardy Plant Society.

LINKS WITH OTHER SCHOOLS
FIELD END INFANT SCHOOL
Our closest friends and neighbours are the children and staff of Field End Infant School with whom we have many of our parents in common.
We are situated on the same site and are “just a hop” across the way from each other. This ensures that we have some excellent transition practice and processes in place which, we all hope, makes the move to the juniors less daunting. In the summer term prior to the children joining us in Year 3, the Year 2 children make several formal and informal visits to us, including exclusive use of our cycle track for a morning, playtime with the Healthy Tuck Shop open for business and a Q&A session with the Year 3s, whose positive reflections of their own transition are still very much relevant and fresh.
As well as good liaison between the class teachers, we also ensure that members of senior staff from both schools meet to discuss every child who is transferring to us and to ensure that all necessary paperwork, records and action plans are in place prior to the children arriving.
We like to think that we get transition “right” but are always open to any suggestions or input from parents to be even better!
QUEENSMEAD
Our Year 5's have a few visits to Queensmead over the year. They attend the Sports Day event with 5 other local junior schools. Year 5 also attend a Technology Day and have also watched Queensmead performances.
RUISLIP HIGH SCHOOL
We regularly visit Ruislip High School, which is part of Vanguard Learning Trust.
HILLINGDON SCHOOLS
We often meet up to play other Junior School's in the borough at sporting events. Our field is home to our Football Teams, both boys and girls. We use our MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) to play other schools at Netball. Field End Junior School also takes part in the Borough Sports Competition.
