School Improvement Priorities 2017-18

Improving Outcomes for Children:
  • Implement a robust system to track progress from different groups from the different starting points.
  • Improve outcomes for pupils with SEN ensuring that the gap between these and other pupils is closing.
  • Closing the gap..

Teaching, Learning and Assessment:

  • Ensure that all learning objectives and age related outcomes are specific and accurate in all lessons for all pupils.
  • Teachers mark to the objective and provide next steps.
  • Using Target Tracker effectively to monitor and track pupils progress and attainment and identify underperforming pupils and groups. 
Effectiveness of Leadership and Management:
  • Ensure that leaders at all levels familiarise themselves with the criteria for judgements in the Ofsted new school inspection handbook.
  • Implement rigorous monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure that identified areas for development in teaching are addressed.
  • Ensure Governors have a clear understanding of their roles and responsiblities in particular to performance related pay.
Personal development, behaviour and welfare of children:
  • Improve pupils' personal development by raising awareness of personal feelings towards their learning.
  • Improve pupils' awareness of Fundamental British Values, e-safety and social media.
  • Ensure that First Aid procedures and how we report to parents are robust.
