Guide to Online Safety
At Field End Junior School, we take every effort to ensure our pupils stay safe when using the internet and other technologies.
Each year we have assemblies on Cyber-bullying and Internet Etiquette, celebrate Safer Internet Day and hold an Online Safety week. During this week, children take part in whole school activites and training is offered to parents and all staff members by our Computing Lead Teacher.
At Field End Junior School, we follow the S.M.A.R.T. rules...

Guidance for Parents
We encourage all parents to attend our annual Online Safety Training. Below are links to the presentation we show parents during our training session, plus our handout, full of useful tips and guidance.
Please remember, that children under the age of 13 should not be using Social Media platforms i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Vine, YouTube channels, Tumblr and Twitter etc. We also advise monitoring your child's online presence in chat rooms.
Please feel free to print out our e-safety posters to display near your computers at home.

Guidance for Children
Throughout the year, children are reminded of how to stay safe online. Children at Field End Junior School are all aware of what they need to do if they fall victim to cyberbullying or if they come across something they feel is inappropriate or makes them uncomfortable.
This poster is displayed around our school.
