SEND and Inclusion

At Field End Junior School we are committed to ensuring that every child has equal access to their learning and achieves their full potential and best possible outcomes regardless of their ethnicity, gender, cultural background, disability or cognitive need. We aim to provide equality of educaltional opportunity to all by removing any barriers that chldren may have and by having high expectations of all children.
Key to removing these barriers is high quality first wave teaching. Within each class, the teacher know the needs of their pupils and is expected to make the necessary adaptations to enable each child to access the curriculum.
For children that may require additional support, we offer a range of interventions in english, maths, speaking & listening and emotional support.
We are also very proud of our relationships with the external professionals that come and work in the school.
The school has an embedded Inclusion Team that monitor the pupils that may be flagged as a concern. Inclusion Team meetings are where these children are discussed and support put in place for them.
